- Position overview: The App Engineering organization covers the development of distinct product versions for approximately a dozen airline customers. Some are large strategic customers where most of the product development is centered. Some are smaller and largely just being maintained with mínimal product investment. The App Engineering teams span Spain, Colombia and the Philippines. This group overall is over 175 people and has fewer than 5 proven engineering people leaders to organize themselves.
- We are seeking a Team Lead DevOps Engineer (AWS) to lead our DevOps team and oversee our AWS infrastructure. This leadership role involves mentoring engineers, driving best practices, and working closely with development and operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient deployment and management of our cloud-based systems.
- Technology stack: The Internet Booking Engine, built on ASP.NET and hosted in AWS, is split into backend and frontend architectures.
- Frontend:



The frontend consists of a CDN using Amazon CloudFront and S3 buckets for file storage.
- Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance, training, and support
- Architect, design, and maintain highly scalable, reliable, and secure AWS infrastructure
- Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and testing processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration between development and operations
- Define and enforce best practices for monitoring, security, and infrastructure management
- Perform cost optimization and resource management across AWS services
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps with a strong focus on AWS services
- Proven leadership or team management experience in a DevOps or cloud infrastructure role
- Expertise in AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, CloudFormation, and more
- Hands-on experience with automation and configuration management tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
- Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, AWS CodePipeline)
Nice to have: Working knowledge of the GCP ecosystem
