**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a **Senior** **Technical Lead or Automation Engineer**, with a strong focus on **Katalon Studio** for test automation.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring and guiding technical teams, with a focus on fostering collaboration and growth.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Katalon Studio, including web, mobile, and API test automation.
- Strong proficiency in **programming/scripting languages** such as Java, Groovy, or JavaScript for writing automation scripts, as well as experience with configuration-based automation solutions.
- Expertise in leveraging Katalon Studio's **configuration-over-code **features to develop automation workflows that minimize code dependencies and improve accessibility for non-technical team members.
- ** Experience managing and collaborating with nearshore and offshore teams**, with a proven ability to navigate cultural differences, time zone challenges, and remote communication practices.
- Excellent client-facing communication skills with the ability to manage expectations and translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or similar.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable automation solutions on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of **Agile methodologies and the SDLC**, with a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a focus on quality and client satisfaction.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide clear solutions.
**Key Responsibilities**:




- ** Leadership & Team Management**:Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers, guiding them in the implementation and execution of automation testing using Katalon Studio. Ensure the team adopts best practices, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and ease of maintenance.
- ** Client Communication**:Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations, understanding requirements, and providing regular project updates. Ensure technical solutions align with client needs and business goals.
- ** Test Automation Development**:Oversee the design, development, and execution of robust automated test scripts. Leverage Katalon’s configuration-based capabilities to create adaptable and scalable automation solutions that can be easily maintained and modified by business stakeholders or less technical team members.
- ** Cross-Functional Collaboration**:Collaborate with product managers, developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project timelines, scope, and deliverables.
- ** Collaboration with Remote Teams**: Coordinate and communicate effectively with nearshore and offshore teams, ensuring clear understanding of project goals, priorities, and timelines. Manage time zone differences and establish regular communication routines to ensure smooth collaboration and productivity.
- ** Quality Assurance**:Analyze and report defects and test results, ensuring high-quality software delivery. Drive continuous improvements in testing processes and automation efficiency.
- ** Project Management**: Manage multiple client projects, ensuring timely delivery, effective resource allocation, and quality control. Facilitate regular project meetings, sprint planning, and reviews across teams in different time zones.
- ** Documentation & Reporting**:Provide clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation on automation processes, test cases, and project status for both internal teams and clients.
**Additional Information** Location**:Guadalajara,** **Jalisco, Mexico (working from home - office won't be mandatory all the time, rather it will required from time to time).
