As an EDS Ford Champ you will have the opportunity to learn and develop technical skills in designing, manufacturing, and troubleshooting automotive wiring systems.
**What you´ll need**:
- Active student from any of the last 4 semesters of Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
- 90% English skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening)
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and electrical circuits.
- Basic understanding of automotive systems.
- Familiarity with wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
- Understanding of electrical connectors, terminals, and cable assembly techniques.
- Programming Languages:
- Proficiency in languages like Python, Java, or SQL is essential for writing code and managing data.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work under supervision.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and report findings.
**What you´ll do**:
- Assist in the design and layout of wiring harnesses
- Analyze Program Direction Letters and Trim Spiders.
- Maintain build level complexity charts.
- Perform Harness Complexity Analysis.
- Collaborate with teams for accurate cost estimation.Support in selecting appropriate materials and connectors based on performance and cost considerations
- Ensure compliance with cost, weight, quality, and timing targets.
- Audit and update Bill of Materials (BOM) for builds.
