Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Sr Automation Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Site.
What a typical day looks like:
- Establish technical manuals, drawings, models, training documentation, preventative maintenance plans and troubleshooting guides for automated equipment and automated processes.
- Understand the machine operating standards, on sequence of wear and tear parts and product defects.
- Ensure the uptime of machines through regular preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance.
- Should be willing to learn & enhance the skill in all type of Automation equipment.
- Should prepare why-why evaluation & drive for permanent corrective actions.
- Should be able to give feedback to improve the design of process and equipment.
- Directs daily department activities to maximize equipment utilization and support production needs.
- Coordinates maintenance activities with other functional groups such as engineering and operations to ensure the efficient operation of the departmental function.
- Collaborates and offers input to planning, building, and maintaining the Automation framework and associated processes for new products.
- Identifies and drives change to ensure automation effectiveness of existing processes.




- Demonstrates and thorough understanding of customer requirements, offer suggestions and ideas on how best to deliver automation solutions.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- BS degree in Engineering electronics, mechanics, mechatronics or similar
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
- Strong experience in servo and encoder mechanisms
- Strong knowledge of SCARA, Industrial, collaborative robots, (Yamaha, Nachi, Fanuc, OMRON)
- Experience developing automated assembly cells.
- PLC Programming
- Programming in Python & C++.
- Manufacturing process concepts.
- SolidWorks management
- Strong knowledge of safety systems oriented to operator safety.
- Advance knowledge in Electrical design, implementation and debugging for Automation development equipment, using Electrical design SW, such as: AutoCAD Electrical, Eplan, others.
- Advance knowledge in Pneumatic design, implementation and debugging for Automation development equipment.
- Knowledge in Automation-Maintenance and Engineering
- Valid US Visa and passport.
- Availability to travel
- Demonstrate capability to explain automation design guidelines and run workshops for dfA analysis.
- Exercises wide latitude in determining objectives and approach to critical assignments. 'Provides direction on large/critical projects.
- Experience with suppliers for automation integration solution.
- Interpretation and establishment of KPI and Operational Metrics for automation devices.
