**Responsibilities**:
- Perform calibrations and tests on optical fiber equipment to assess product requirements to technical specifications.
- Participate in the product development process by following the product's development progress and providing feedback, observations, and ideas to the team.
- Provide technical support for projects under development by assisting in sample prototyping, assembly, fiber configuration, and fiber routing.
- Collect, document, analyze and report test data to communicate observations, results, and conclusions.
- Provide support for the examination of failures and root cause analysis.
- Fabricate or assist in the fabrication of customized test fixtures and experimental setups.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of laboratory equipment; assist in calibration and repair of equipment.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe laboratory calibration.
**Skills/Knowledge**:




- Ability to follow verbal instructions and detailed written procedures or work instructions.
- Familiarity with good laboratory practices and attention to detail are important.
- Experience using basic measurement tools, hand tools, and power tools.
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing principles as part of laboratory maintenance of equipment and fixtures.
- Computer skills in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work in a team environment or work independently.
- English (Understand, Speak, Write) is an advantage.
**Education**:
- Associate degree in a technical field or an equivalent combination.
- Mechanical, Industrial, or laboratory experience.
