Job Title: Production Manager
Objective: This position has the responsable for costumer satisfaction, ensure enforcement of health, safety and environmental rules, define work standards with the help off Support functions.
Accountabilities:
1. Assign & check corrective actions on recurring problems with APU and Plant support departments.
2. Escalate at Site level the issues that can’t be solved at APU level.
3. Validate monthly the demonstrated capacity of his/ her APU and communicate to SIOP / MPS.
4. Weekly commit on MPS.
5. Respect daily the MPS contract
6. In case of daily MPS respect deviation, take necessary measures to have respected weekly MPS at end of the week.
7. Lead daily APU War room (SQCDP)
8. Lead workstation ergonomics risk analysis and elimination.
9. Lead every day gemba activities with his/her team, as TOP 3 issues countermeasures review.
10. Lead & review action plans to improve SQCDP performance (presente and targets).
11. Be responsible for Customer Line Return analysis and solving for products from his/her APU in front of customers.
12. Manage the VSM deployment plan Flow of his/her APU, ensuring that there are Flow Transformation workshops evolutions to simplify Operations and minimize waste
13. Prepare budget proposal (including training actions, investments).
14. Manage the budget of his/her APU and allocates the appropriate resources in respect with the budget perimeter. Implement necessary corrective actions for compliance.
15. Be involved in the industrialization of new projects as early research and ensures along functional department a flawless launch to SORP (Start or Regular production per NPI plans on Program Management.
16. Validate the Lean Process Design for new projects.
17. Manages directly the Sr. supervisors, supervisors and indirectly (Dotted line) all function related to the APU.
18. Monitor competences for his/her team and develops its autonomy (training plan building,
follow-up & training actions implementation).
19. Ensure working standards are respected on its APU during the operations (safety, work instructions, quality, and respect of the product).
20. Ensure that standards of reaction are applied with rigor and perform escalation according to standards.
21. Lead daily, weekly & monthly meetings, and organize delegation.
22. Conduct annual appraisals, salary review, career interviews, succession planning & give feedback. Communicate a mindset of continuous improvement & responsibility vs. targets achievement inside its APU.
23. Perform OJT of his/her teams every day on standards & methodologies implemented
24. Congratulate and recognize its team for improvements.
Experience required: At minimum of five (5) years of experience in manufacturing or engineering. Experience in Industrial, Automotive, Aerospace, Metal fabrication or similar industries.
English level: Bilingual 90% English Spanish.
Computational knowledge: MS Office (Word, Excel)
Additional comments:
- Desired Six Sigma Green Belt certified and exposure to Operative systems based on Toyota Production Systems.
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP system.
- Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
- Personnel and Human Resources — Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, safety and labor relations
