Job Summary:
The Manufacturing HR Generalist will be responsible for managing human resources functions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role ensures compliance with Mexican labor laws (Ley Federal del Trabajo - LFT), and company policies while supporting recruitment, employee relations, payroll administration, and training initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Labor Law Compliance & Employee Relations
- Ensure compliance with Ley Federal del Trabajo (LFT), Instituto Mexicano del Protegido Social (IMSS), INFONAVIT, and SAR regulations.
- Act as a liaison between employees and management to address, workplace disputes, and disciplinary actions, following Normas Oficiales Mexicanas (NOMs) where applicable.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Working with the recruitment COE for plant positions, ensuring hiring aligns with STPS (Secretaría del Trabajo y Previsión Social) guidelines.
- Develop and execute onboarding programs tailored to manufacturing operations and any support staff including sales.
- Monitor workforce trends and provide recommendations to optimize staffing levels.
Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Support payroll processing and validate compliance with ISR (Impuesto Sobre la Renta), IMSS, INFONAVIT, and FONACOT deductions.
- Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries, ensuring timely enrollment and updates.
- Manage attendance tracking,



return to work management and leave requests, including prima vacacional, aguinaldo, and PTU (Participación de los Trabajadores en las Utilidades).
Training & Development
- Coordinate and implement training programs aligned with Competencia Laboral y Capacitación (DNC) requirements.
- Ensure compliance with NOM-035 (Psychosocial Risk Prevention) and other workplace safety standards.
- Develop leadership and professional development initiatives for plant employees.
Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Compliance
- Work alongside Comisión Mixta de Seguridad e Hygiene to enforce workplace safety standards.
- Support compliance with NOM-019-STPS regarding health and safety committee responsibilities.
- Promote a culture of workplace safety and well-being in line with corporate and regulatory expectations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years of HR experience in a manufacturing or assembly plants.
- Strong knowledge of Mexican labor laws, and social security systems.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and payroll software (e.g., Workday, SAP, ADP).
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Bilingual proficiency (Spanish and English) is a must.
