GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Responsible for coordinating activities related to ensuring final product quality through monitoring and quality assurance of components received from the supply chain.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Professional degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Mechatronics)
Minimum 7 years of experience in Quality
Minimum 3 years of experience in Supplier Quality
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS
**Leadership**: Analyze and resolve problems within BRP and with suppliers.
**Influence**: With different BRP departments and with suppliers for problem resolution and/or continuous improvement.
**Communication**: Regarding the performance of production areas, identified risks, and ongoing actions to mitigate them. Provide status reports, monitoring, and progress of different actions. Communicate with suppliers regarding component quality.
**Proactivity**: Prevent problems related to Health and Safety, Personnel, Product, and Process.
**Organization/Structure**: Lead detailed projects, provide status reports, and track progress with management teams.

General Quality Knowledge
Experience in using Basic Quality Tools
Experience in problem-solving methodologies
Experience in Core Tools (APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, PPAP)
Experience in system, product, process, and supplier audits
Experience in preparing and approving PPAPs
Experience in Minitab for statistical analysis. Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
Experience in evaluating procedures, work instructions, visual aids, forms, and records.
Experience in SQE processes
Experience in managing and communicating with suppliers
Preparation of non-conforming material reports (NCR)
Evaluation and validation of supplier corrective actions (SCAR)
PPAP evaluation and approval
Experience in supplier improvement
Experience in various automotive manufacturing processes (stamping, plastic injection, electronics, etc.)
Audit of supplier systems and processes
Experience in evaluating and approving drawings
Managing non-conforming quarantine material (MRB)
Experience and knowledge in drawing interpretation (GD&T;)
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Competent computer skills in Microsoft and SAP software
Availability to travel (domestic and international)
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES
**Supplier and Incoming Quality Team**:
Selection, training, and coaching (through existing processes) of the supplier quality technician team.
Assessment, identification,
and mitigation of health and safety risks in production areas and with the supplier quality team (Health and Safety Programs).
Assessment of the work environment and development of a plan to mitigate the main areas of opportunity.
Evaluation of the performance of the supplier quality technician team and development of improvement plans for the identified areas of opportunity among staff.
New Product Introduction
Determination of the PPAP level for the introduction of new components.
Assignment of the responsible SQE in the SAP system.
Validation and disposition of PPAPs.
Validation of P3 or PPAP runs at suppliers.
Functional validation of components.
Lead interim or rejected PPAPs with the BRP cross-functional team and suppliers.
Maintain the status of PPAPs in the SAP system to provide visibility to the organization.
Create inspection plans for components.
Release PPAP batches.
Define and implement Early Production Containment (GP12).
Communicate various findings (PPF) to suppliers and SQD team and validate conditions on PPAP parts.
Validate drawings and their critical characteristics.
Supplier Quality Support Post-Production
Provide a daily assessment (risk analysis) of the area in terms of product and process quality.
Update and provide daily quality metrics and information on component quality issues.
Actively support and assist in problem definition, measurement, and analysis activities in BRP.
Send official customer complaint notifications (CCNs) to suppliers and involve the various support departments (planning, purchasing, SQD, etc.).
Send and communicate information and samples to suppliers.
Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) and Closure
Evaluate and penalize supplier quality metrics (SRS).
