Here’s what you need to know about this position:
**THE WORK**
- Lead technical strategy and architectural decisions to ensure scalability, reliability, and security at production scale.
- Mentor and influence engineers across the team, fostering best practices, code quality, and a strong TDD culture.
- Collaborate closely with Product leadership to shape features, trade-offs, and the long-term technical roadmap.
- Identify and implement performance optimizations and improvements to development workflows.
- Take ownership of production incidents, leading root-cause analysis and preventive strategies.
- Champion clean, maintainable, and testable code across the organization.
- Work in a hybrid model,



spending two days per week in our Mexico City office to balance collaboration with focused development time.
**NEEDED EXPERTISE**
- 4+ years of software engineering experience with deep, hands-on expertise in Ruby on Rails.
- Strong leadership in mentoring engineers, guiding technical decisions, and enforcing engineering best practices.
- Proficient in Test-Driven Development, clean code principles, and maintainable architecture.
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React.js and Ember.js for integration purposes.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, MySQL, Postgres, Redis, NGINX, and AWS.
- Experience with Linux environments, infrastructure automation using Terraform or Ansible, and compliance standards like PCI or HIPAA is a plus.
