ROLE OVERVIEW Carbon Real Estate Investments is hiring an Operations Systems Analyst to own and advance the technology stack that powers our property operations. This is not a traditional finance analyst role — we are looking for a tools-oriented operator who can build, troubleshoot, and monitor the systems our team depends on every day.
The role sits at the intersection of systems, automation, AI tools, and financial reporting. You will be expected to work independently inside no-code platforms, diagnose broken automations, and resolve data pipeline issues — not just download reports and format spreadsheets.
How Your Time Is Split 40% - Platform Maintenance & Configuration
Own the health and reliability of our operational systems.
30% - AI & Automation Monitoring
Keep automated workflows running and improve failure recovery.
Support Asset Management with clean, executive-ready reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Platform Maintenance & Configuration (~40%)
You will own the stability, configuration, and continuous improvement of our core operational systems.
Monitor data feeds and syncs across Yardi, Coda, dashboards, and reporting tools
Troubleshoot broken syncs, mismatched fields, and dropped records
Configure alert triggers and workflow automations within Coda and our task management stack
Perform UI improvements and workflow optimizations inside Coda
Support Player Scoreboard data accuracy and integrity
Maintain clear documentation of system configurations and workflow logic
Proactively identify gaps and inefficiencies in data flow before they become issues
AI & Automation Monitoring (~30%)
You will keep our automation layer healthy — diagnosing failures, improving reliability, and knowing when to escalate vs. fix.
Monitor Elise AI interaction logs and identify recurring failure patterns
Investigate and resolve failed automations in Make.com or similar tools
Maintain and improve automated task generation workflows
Diagnose errors such as field mismatches, format conflicts, or filtering logic failures
Distinguish between system-level issues that need escalation and process issues you can fix directly
Recommend systemic improvements based on failure trend analysis
You will provide structured financial support to Asset Management — keeping reporting clean, accurate, and decision-ready. Note: reporting is one-third of this role, not the entirety.
Support delinquency tracking workflows and reporting
Assist with budget tracking and variance analysis
Generate recurring financial and operational performance reports
Clean and transform raw Yardi exports into clear, executive-ready summaries
Conduct routine audits to ensure system entries align with SOPs
Support accounts payable reconciliation and invoice tracking
QUALIFICATIONS Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related field
Strong Excel skills — pivot tables, lookups, and structured data manipulation
Hands-on experience with no-code platforms such as Coda or Airtable
Demonstrated ability to modify and troubleshoot automation workflows in Make.com, Zapier, or similar tools
Ability to independently diagnose and resolve data pipeline issues without hand-holding
Strong problem-solving instincts and comfort navigating multiple systems simultaneously
High ownership mindset — you close the loop on recurring workflows and follow through
Preferred
Experience with Yardi or a comparable property management ERP
Basic scripting ability in SQL, Python, or similar
Familiarity with Power BI, Bricks, or other BI/visualization tools
Experience monitoring AI or chatbot platforms such as Elise AI
Background in multifamily property management or real estate operations
