About the Role
Guydeez is looking for passionate locals in Playa del Carmen to host private, personalized walking tours for small groups of travelers. If you love your city, enjoy sharing its culture, history, and hidden gems, and connecting with visitors from around the world, this role is for you!
No professional tour guide license is required — enthusiasm, strong local knowledge, and a friendly personality are the most important qualities.
What You’ll Do
- Lead private walking tours tailored to each group’s interests (3-8 hours)
- Share stories and insights about Playa del Carmen’s culture, history, and neighborhoods
- Adapt tours to guest preferences and pace
- Ensure a welcoming, safe, and memorable experience
- Optional:



host food-focused or specialty tours for guests interested in gastronomy
Who We’re Looking For
- Strong knowledge of Playa del Carmen’s culture, attractions, and local highlights
- Fluent in at least one language: English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Chinese, or Portuguese
- Friendly, approachable, and outgoing personality
- Comfortable hosting tours lasting 3-8 hours
- Previous experience in guiding, hospitality, or customer service is a plus but not required
