Principal Software Engineer
This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts by designing and implementing product-level architectures and integration strategies that enable successful product launches.
- Collaborate with program management, product management, engineering, services, and other value chain partner**s** to ensure technical alignment and smooth execution across all phases of NPI.
- Review and assess designs and project activities to ensure compliance with development guidelines and standards; provide actionable feedback to enhance product quality and mitigate risks.
- Act as a technical navigator during product launches, proactively identifying roadblocks and recommending alternative paths to maintain timelines and quality.
- Influence decisions of executive leadership, outsourced partners, and industry standards groups through recognized domain expertise and strategic insight.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members, fostering innovation and excellence in software systems design.
**_ Education and Experience Required: _**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Typically 10+ years of experience.
**_ Knowledge and Skills: _**
- Expertise in designing and implementing product-level architectures and integration strategies for new product introductions (NPI).




- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and mitigate technical risks during product launches.
- Deep experience in software systems design across multiple platforms, including hybrid cloud environments.
- Strong networking skills, including an understanding of network architecture, protocols, and integration with cloud-based and virtualized environments.
- Proficiency in Hybrid Cloud Solutions, including:
- Morpheus VM Essentials
- PCBE (ProLiant Compute Blade Essentials)
- HPE SimpliVity
- Cloud-Based Management tools (GLP and DSCC)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate at executive levels.
