**General Summary**
Objective
Analyze and solve engineering problems and processes of moderate scope related to production. Maximize manufacturing efficiency by optimizing processes, design, workflow, methods, and routing using Lean Manufacturing techniques.
Scope
- The work may be revised for accuracy and general adequacy. Follow established processes and directions.
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
- Get instructions for routine jobs, new projects, or assignments.
Authority:
- Monitor, paying special attention, any critical situation that may arise, in order to adopt the appropriate corrective measures as soon as possible.
- Analyse the work carried out in their area to detect possible potential risks and proceed to minimise or reduce them.
**- Duties & Responsibilities**
- Use Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and industrial engineering techniques to improve efficiency, throughput, quality, and cycle time of manufacturing processes.
- Propose designs of manufacturing processes. Ensure that initial routing has been completed to support new product development releases.
- Identify and assist in the design of production tools, jigs, and fixtures.
- Ensure proper manufacturing documentation through the creation and ongoing support of manufacturing methods, manufacturing engineering forms, operation sheets, routing and manufacturing engineering procedures.
- Troubleshooting manufacturing processes, providing accurate and timely recommendations for resolution,



and demonstrating exceptional customer service.
- Assist with new product releases through optimization of the pre-production phase, manufacturing correction, determining the type of tools and processes that maximize flow efficiency.
- Generate engineering modification orders/requests to support the design and material change list.
- Ensure that routing operation times and control fields related to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) are established and accurate.
- Provide guidance and supervision to assistants to document coordinators and manufacturing engineers as needed to meet project requirements and objectives.
- Perform other tasks as needed
**- Education and Experience Required**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- Bilingual
- From 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
- Quality Control or Related Area
**- Skills Required**
Include demonstrated competencies and physical, mental, & interpersonal skills.
- Solid knowledge in Design for Manufacturing/Excellence (DFM, DFX).
- Familiar with AutoCad and/or related design tools preferred.
- Knowledge of IPCA-610 standards preferred.
- Knowledge of manufacturing system techniques and Lean Manufacturing preferably.




- Computer skills are required.
- Experience in the use of the ERP system, statistical methods and knowledge of ISO 9000/2000 system requirements preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Effective in teamwork situations
- Special skills and experience in environmental management system as well as occupational health and safety:
- Operate the allocations with the lowest waste production in accordance with the company's standards.
- Follow the environmental and occupational health and safety policy. Be aware of negative environmental impacts as well as occupational health and safety risks.
- Operate following the objectives of the environmental and occupational health and safety plan as well as other regulatory documents involved.
- Immediately inform any environmental and occupational health and safety representative when they detect any problem.
- Give suggestions to improve the company's environmental and occupational health and safety system.
- Participate in environmental and occupational health and safety projects and activities of the committees of these systems
- Personnel management.
