This role is within Chamberlain Group's Nogales Plant Maintenance group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Ensure the continuous operation of Chamberlain Group large scale and complex production areas; react quickly to the emergency/not planned stoppages in the production lines or to machinery problems, investigate and determine root cause of issues and establish permanent corrective actions and standardize across other areas, and (ii) Reduce machinery idle time, improve productivity and increase product quality by means of maintaining equipment and facilities according to the company ́s policies and procedures. Requires 5+ years leading a maintenance group and a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
Ensure the continuous operation of Chamberlain Group large scale and complex production areas; react quickly to the emergency/not planned stoppages in the production lines or to machinery problems, investigate and determine root cause of issues and establish permanent corrective actions and standardize across other areas
Reduce machinery idle time, improve productivity and increase product quality by means of maintaining equipment and facilities according to the company ́s policies and procedures
Improve, establish, and maintain sound Preventive Maintenance programs directed to maximize overall equipment effectivity (OEE) and maintain KPIs for assigned area; set priorities and ensure proper resources are allocated
Act as CMMS superuser
Participate in and justify capital and cost reduction projects as needed
Coordinate complex installations of new equipment or improvements to layout and production line reconfigurations; identify and recommend the use of new technology and/or equipment
Recommend and maintain budgets and expense forecast; oversee expenses, and recommend cost reduction opportunities
Participate as a member of core teams and report results against KPIs; keep leadership informed of presente and potential equipment issues through proactive communication
Prepare reports, diagrams and technical charts to document efficiency of production machinery and its preventive maintenance history; analyze trends and recommend improvements
Develop maintenance procedures best practices, set of standards, work instructions and department procedures and ensure that procedures are implemented and complied with
Establish and maintain relationships with equipment or facility suppliers for troubleshooting or projects
Protect Chamberlain Group's reputation by keeping information confidential
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed
Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
Experience:
5+ years leading a maintenance group
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Advanced knowledge of maintenance duties, programs and requirements in manufacturing or industrial facilities
Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and with internal customers
Advanced knowledge of project management
Demonstrate high level of organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Advanced knowledge of computer based maintenance management systems, predictive maintenance data collection systems, Microsoft Office and related applications
Advanced knowledge of the operation of manual tools and machinery
Advanced knowledge of facilities and equipment codes, regulatory, and safety standards
Advanced knowledge of modern maintenance philosophies: TPM, RCM, TQM, Reliability Engineering and/or Six Sigma.
