The Salamanca City Central School District is actively seeking Substitute Teachers for all grade levels and buildings.

Our Substitute Teachers provides temporary instructional support in the absence of the regular classroom teacher, ensuring that students continue to receive a safe, productive, and engaging learning experience. This role is responsible for maintaining classroom order, implementing lesson plans and instructional activities as provided, supervising students, and fostering a positive learning environment.

2025-2026 Substitute Teacher Pay Rates

Uncertified Substitute = $150.00 per day

New York State Certified Substitute = $180.00 per day

Special Requirement for Appointment in School DISTRICTS/BOCES

Per regulations of the Commissioner of Education, to be employed in a position designated by a school district or BOCES as involving direct contact with students, a clearance for employment (fingerprinting) from the State Education Department is required.
