What you’ll do
- Monitor and analyze security alerts/events across SIEM, EDR, IDS, SOAR, UEBA, email gateway, proxy, and firewalls.
- Detect, triage, and assess incidents (network traffic, user/host anomalies, phishing); escalate per procedures and SLAs.
- Execute incident response, coordinate with end users/stakeholders and client IR teams, and document actions and outcomes.
- Leverage threat intelligence to track zero‑days/IOCs/IOAs; notify leadership and client teams of emerging threats.
- Conduct threat hunting; develop hunting techniques; investigate and report findings to management.
- Maintain detailed incident records; contribute to post‑incident reviews; support weekly/monthly/quarterly client reporting.
- Improve monitoring and response processes (SOPs, automations,



alert tuning).
- Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Collaborate, share knowledge, and uphold PwC’s code of ethics; communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3–5 years of experience in cyber operations/SOC or related roles.
- Strong grounding in networking and systems: OSI, TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP; system administration; security architecture.
- Incident response frameworks and handling procedures; understanding of the attack lifecycle and adversary TTPs.
- Information security, compliance, and assurance best practices.
- Inquisitive mindset, proactive problem‑solving, and continuous learning.

Certifications (preferred)
- CEH, Security+, CHFI, CTIA, or any SANS certification.
