Commercial Director – Mexico, Latin America Overview of the role
The Commercial Director serves as the senior-most commercial leader for the assigned geographic region, accountable for driving revenue growth, margin expansion, and overall business performance. This executive-level position owns full profit and loss (P&L;) responsibility and leads a dynamic regional sales organization, including Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), Engineering Business Managers (EBM’s) and Inside Sales Managers (ISM’s).
This role is instrumental in translating Solmax’s commercial strategy into region-specific execution. The Commercial Director collaborates closely with Product & Technical Services, Operations, Marketing, and Finance to ensure customer needs are met with precision and responsiveness. They are expected to foster a high-performance sales culture, develop talent, and ensure alignment across functions to enable profitable and sustainable growth.
Define and implement the regional commercial strategy in alignment with Solmax’s broader sales objectives.
Drive region-level planning,
market development, and resource prioritization to deliver growth and operational efficiency.
Track and analyze business performance metrics, proactively addressing gaps and capitalizing on opportunities.
Sales & Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing regional sales team, including direct oversight of RSMs and ISM’s.
Ensure sales team executes effectively against account plans, pipeline targets, and channel strategies.
Promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous development throughout the sales organization.
Ensure strong coordination between the commercial and technical sides of the business to support engineered solutions and project execution.
Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Finance to support go-to-market campaigns, supply continuity, and commercial forecasting.
