The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SQL Server Database Administrator to join
our dynamic team. This full-time, remote position is a critical part of our
follow-the-sun support model, ensuring the highest levels of availability,
reliability, and performance for our SQL Server infrastructure. You'll work with
cutting-edge technologies,
collaborate with a multicultural team, and play a
pivotal role in maintaining and evolving our database systems.
What You’ll Do
* Maintain high availability and reliability of the SQL Server infrastructure.
* Participate in the follow-the-sun support model.
* Build and implement new database infrastructure.
* Apply updates and patches to maintain a secure and compliant environment.
* Attend incident calls as per SLAs.
* Enforce and uphold security and compliance policies.
* Ensure adherence to backup and recovery policies.
* Document legacy processes for improved clarity and efficiency.
* Coach junior DBAs to enhance their technical skills.
* Oversee performance, applying quick fixes and escalating complex cases to the
performance tuning team.
* Collaborate with other teams to discuss and optimize the underlying database
infrastructure.
