Job Description:
The Design Engineer II is responsible for the design, analysis, validation, and
support of mechanical components and motor-related systems used in power tools.
This position will serve as a key technical resource for engineering, quality,
production, operations, and supply chain teams, ensuring product performance,
manufacturing continuity, and successful implementation of engineering changes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop and evaluate design, manufacturing, and process solutions for
engineering challenges.
* Provide technical support to production and manufacturing operations.
* Support requests and investigations from Quality, Production, OPM, Customs,
and other cross-functional departments.
* Perform root cause analysis (RCA), troubleshooting, and corrective action
implementation.
* Execute and manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change
Notices (ECNs).
* Conduct product and component validation activities, including DTP testing.
* Analyze technical risks associated with product and process changes.
* Develop and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, and product
specifications.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, reliability, and
cost optimization.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering,
Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
* 3+ years of experience in mechanical product design and engineering support.
* Advanced English proficiency.
* Experience with 3D modeling and mechanical design software such as NX or
SolidWorks.
* Proficiency in creating and interpreting 2D engineering drawings.
* Strong understanding of GD&T; principles and engineering documentation.
* Experience managing ECRs and ECNs.
