The Economic Development Consultant is responsible for market research and appointment setting services conducted on behalf of our government client base. He/she is responsible for company research, target validation, and outbound outreach. The Economic Development Consultant will engage in phone conversations with C-level executives of expanding companies to determine the growth trajectory of each company and seek to schedule meetings on behalf of our clients. This position may also involve project management and client services on an ad-hoc basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prospecting, generating, qualifying, and setting appointments
Contacting and communicating with C-level executives to collect information on corporate growth strategy
Researching companies and contacts using various web resources
Understanding the client's needs and value propositions
Understanding basic company financials
Writing company profiles
Scheduling between 7 and 9 meetings/per month
Maintaining a high outreach rate of 30-40 attempts per day
Keeping project profitability at a desired rate
Engaging in project/client management activities on an ad-hoc basis
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong time management skills
Excellent English, both written and spoken
Proven ability to identify company growth indicators
Familiarity with CRMs and online research tools
Strong verbal and email communication
Demonstrated ability to develop strong client relationships and manage both client interests and expectations
Demonstrated ability to manage all assigned tasks
CONDITIONS
Contract position with annual compensation of $28,000 - $32,000 CAD
