We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team, specializing in production accounting. This role bridges the gap between high-level financial analysis and hands-on operational management. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of production expenses, from reviewing and coding invoices to preparing month-end accruals and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage high volumes of data independently, and possesses the analytical rigor to ensure all production schedules are accurate and compliant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, code, and process all production-related invoices, ensuring accurate GL alignment and adherence to budget categories.
- Manage the onboarding and documentation review for new production vendors and partners.
- Maintain and standardize the Workday Project to ensure data integrity across all networks.
- Prepare monthly accruals for production goods and services received but not yet invoiced to ensure accurate financial cutoff.
- Execute monthly production flash accruals, and prepaid talent amortization.
- Prepare weekly and monthly production reports , highlighting program cost variances, seasonal trends, and key financial analytics for management.
- Generate monthly cash flow statements specifically for production sections.
- Analyze production costs proactively to identify trends, potential overages, and opportunities for cost reductions or savings.
- Conduct variance analysis to explain discrepancies between presente spend and forecasted budgets.
- Act as the primary liaison between the Finance and Accounting groups to resolve unusual items and ensure all schedules are up to date.
- Support internal and external audit requests and take an active role in SOX compliance and internal control testing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
