The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with experienced engineers to develop and implement optimal, cost‑effective manufacturing processes and methods that align with customer requirements and quality standards. This role supports continuous improvement, process development, documentation, and the successful launch of new or revised products.

Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for manufacturing processes and continuous improvement, including:
- Defining methods to manufacture products that meet customer requirements
- Supporting creation and maintenance of production documentation (work instructions, travelers, etc.)
- Establishing and updating technical data packages for production products
- Supporting and, when appropriate, leading training of production personnel as the subject matter expert
- Building and updating PFMEAs and managing associated action plans
- Applying DMAIC methodology and using Six Sigma/Lean tools to improve processes and solve problems
- Ensuring procedures are in place for new product introduction and engineering changes




- Prioritizing safety and adhering to all health and safety requirements
- Supporting project teams in developing or improving manufacturing methods for conforming parts and assemblies
- Assisting in the design of tooling required for production
- Reviewing product with engineering, manufacturing, and quality to verify conformity and support root cause/corrective actions
- Supporting periodic engineering and technical updates required by customers

Qualifications
- BS Engineering degree (Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial preferred)
- Minimum 5 years industry experience; 1–2 years in aerospace composite manufacturing (Prepreg Layup, RTM/VARTM, autoclave processing, composite finishing) preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Visio)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including basic GD&T;
- Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, CATI
