El Carmen Manufacturing Facility is seeking a Production Control Intern to support the planning, scheduling, and monitoring of production activities. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, contributing to efficient production flows and inventory management.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Assist in the development and maintenance of production schedules and plans.
* Monitor production progress and identify potential delays or bottlenecks.
* Support the tracking and reporting of key production metrics.
* Collaborate with various departments, including production, logistics, and quality control, to ensure smooth operations.
* Assist in inventory control activities, including material tracking and reconciliation.
* Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing production efficiency.
* Prepare and update production documentation and reports.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Control team.
Required Skills and Education
Job Qualifications:**
* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Prior experience or coursework in production planning or inventory management is a plus.
* Knowledge of Spanish is an advantage.
