The role





As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Work under the guidance of class teachers and SENCo to support pupils with additional educational needs (SEN) in a primary school setting (typically Key Stage 1 & 2).
- Support children either 1:1 or in small groups, adapting learning materials and activities to suit their needs.
- Monitor pupil progress, share feedback with the teacher/SENCo and help implement strategies to support learning, behaviour and wellbeing.
- Promote independence, social skills and positive behaviour in the classroom, playground and other school spaces.
- Work collaboratively with the school team, parents/carers and external professionals as required.
- Contribute to creating an inclusive, supportive and safe learning environment in which every pupil feels valued.
