The Test Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing equipment qualification and factory witness testing for HVAC products, working directly with customers to demonstrate that units meet contractual, quality, and performance requirements prior to shipment.

This role covers the full test cycle, from test setup and execution (airflow, acoustics, electrical, controls, cooling and heating performance, etc.) through documentation and reporting, ensuring HVAC equipment meets technical specifications, customer expectations, and delivery commitments during witness testing events.
- Coordinate and perform factory witness testing of HVAC equipment in accordance with approved project submittals, contract documents, and company procedures.
- Plan and execute test setups for factory testing, including airflow, leakage, structural deflection, acoustical performance, electrical systems, fan vibration, controls functionality, and DX system performance.
- Work closely with Project Management, Production,



and the Submittal team to schedule and coordinate factory tests.
- Ensure equipment is properly prepared for testing by coordinating test setup requirements with the production team.
- Lead and direct technicians or support staff during testing activities, including troubleshooting equipment performance or operational issues.
- Interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, control diagrams, and submittal documentation to verify test requirements.
- Develop and document test procedures when required, ensuring alignment with contract specifications and project requirements.

Experiencia y requisitos
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronics, Electromechanics, Mechatronics, Mechanics.
- 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Systems, New products, Process reengineering.
- Ability to generate 2D testing layouts using AutoCAD or similar software.
