Position Summary

The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in supporting the accounting operations of

Retirement Communities during a period of significant transformation and growth. This is a hands-on accounting position for a highly motivated professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, takes ownership of deliverables, and consistently meets deadlines.

The idóneo candidate is someone who built a strong accounting foundation early in their career, preferably through experience in a public accounting firm or small accounting practice, and has since developed solid full-cycle accounting experience. This individual must be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering accurate work on time without requiring constant follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close.

• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.

• Analyze financial transactions and identify discrepancies or unusual variances.

• Support monthly, quarterly,



and year-end close processes.

• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.

• Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting activities.

• Support internal and external audits.

• Collaborate with team members to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.

• Ensure all assigned deliverables are completed accurately and within established deadlines.

• Escalate risks, blockers, or missing information proactively rather than waiting until deadlines are missed.

• Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Public Accounting (Licenciatura en Contaduría Pública).

• Professional License (Cédula Profesional).

• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience.

• Strong full-cycle accounting experience.

• Hands-on experience with month-end close.
