About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Accounting graduate who is eager to develop their career in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Support bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
Assist with accruals, prepaids, and other general ledger activities.
Prepare schedules and reports to support the accounting team.
Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures.
Collaborate with other departments to obtain financial information as needed.
Support audit requests and other ad hoc accounting projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required).
1–3 years of accounting experience,
including experience gained while attending university through internships, accounting firms, tax firms, or similar, and/or up to one year of professional experience after graduation.
Strong understanding of accounting principles.
Experience performing general accounting tasks such as journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close support.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Eligible to work in Mexico.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional License (Título and Cédula) obtained or currently in process.
Previous experience in a public accounting or tax firm.
Experience working in a deadline-driven environment.
Professional English communication skills.
Base Salary: $15,000 - $20,000 monthly before taxes
Christmas Bonus: 30 days, paid in December.
