Overview: The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing improvements that increase safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance across manufacturing operations. This role works directly on the production floor, using Lean Manufacturing, industrial engineering, data analysis, and structured problem-solving tools to eliminate waste, improve process flow, and create sustainable operating standards.
As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will report to the Engineering Manager.
To be a successful Continuous Improvement Engineer, you must combine strong analytical and industrial engineering skills with a practical, hands-on approach. You will need to understand vigente production conditions, distinguish value-added from non-value-added activities, engage operators and leaders in improvement efforts,



and follow projects through implementation until measurable and sustainable results are achieved.
Responsibilities:

1. Continuous Improvement Strategy and Project Execution:
a. Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities based on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance.
b. Develop project charters with clear scope, baseline, targets, timing, responsible parties, and expected financial impact.
c. Lead improvement projects from analysis through implementation, validation, standardization, and sustained follow-up.
d. Maintain an active continuous improvement project pipeline aligned with plant priorities and customer requirements.
2. Lean Manufacturing and Waste Elimination:
a. Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to identify and eliminate waiting, motion, transportation, overprocessing, defects, inventory, and other waste.
