About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on
Lead Cloud Operations Engineer / Lead DevOps & Cloud Engineer
to provide technical leadership for a growing Cloud Operations team supporting a major U.S.-based education technology company.

This role combines advanced cloud infrastructure engineering, production operations, DevOps automation, incident management, and team leadership. You will lead engineers, coordinate technical priorities, improve operational processes, and remain directly involved in troubleshooting complex production issues.

The idóneo candidate has strong experience with
AWS or Azure, Linux, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, incident response, and Kanban-based delivery management
.

This is not a management-only position. The selected candidate must be comfortable leading the team while remaining technically hands-on.

Required Qualifications




- Proven experience leading Cloud Operations, DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure teams.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and coordinating technical delivery.
- Strong hands-on Linux systems administration and troubleshooting experience.
- Strong production experience managing cloud infrastructure in AWS or Azure.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Strong CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform or similar technologies.
- Experience supporting production applications, deployments, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Experience with incident management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and operational remediation.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic, or Azure Monitor.
