ROLE PURPOSE

WHAT IS YOUR ROLE?

As a Polymer Materials Engineer, you will support the development,
qualification, and implementation of polymer materials used in optical
connectivity products. You will work closely with cross-functional integral teams
to identify material solutions, drive product innovation, support manufacturing
processes, and lead projects from concept through production implementation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Lead the evaluation, testing, and qualification of polymer materials to
ensure product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost
objectives are achieved.
* Support new product development through material selection, validation
activities, prototype evaluations, and collaboration with product and process
engineering teams.
* Manage materials and product development projects, coordinating timelines,
resources, risks, deliverables,



and stakeholder communication.
* Provide technical support to manufacturing operations by troubleshooting
material-related issues, optimizing processes, and driving continuous
improvement initiatives.

EXPERIENCES/EDUCATION - REQUIRED

* Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Chemical
Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
* Experience working with polymer materials in an industrial or manufacturing
environment
* Strong knowledge of polymer materials, including thermoplastics, elastomers,
and related processing methods
* Experience with manufacturing processes such as injection molding, extrusion,
and assembly
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret
technical data and make engineering recommendations
* Effective communication and project management skills, with the ability to
collaborate across cross-functional and global teams
