**The Role**: Data Associate, Data Management
**The Team**:
Data Management (GDB) team is the primary owner of SPDJI’s Golden Database (ARROW), which is the main database that supports all downstream platforms and client-facing portals of SPDJI for all production index data. GDB team is responsible for managing workflows, building validation models, and conducting quality assurance of data within ARROW. Our team collaborates closely with other cross-functional teams, including index managers, R&D;, commercial teams, and IT, to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. GDB team is a part of the data output team which is a global team with members in New York and Beijing.

**Responsibilities**:
As a Data Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our index data by performing data validation and maintaining the Golden Database. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough data validation to ensure completeness, accuracy,



and consistency of our daily index data.
Managing configurations for new files and indices and working on data loading in Golden Database.
Identifying and resolving data discrepancies or errors promptly and efficiently.
Assisting in data cleaning and other ad-hoc projects to maintain data consistency.
Participating in data quality improvement initiatives and suggesting enhancements of Golden Database.
Documenting data validation procedures and maintaining data integrity guidelines.
Collaborating with team members to establish best practices.
**What We’re Looking For**:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and meticulous Data Associate to join our team.
**Basic Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or relevant field
Strong attention to detail and self-motivated
Proficiency in working with spreadsheets
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
**Preferred Qualifications**: Data/content management experience, Python
Proficiency in Python and VBA
Proven experience in data validation, data quality assurance, or similar roles
