**ML**
- Understanding of the mathematical/statistical foundations of machine learning.
- Experience with Shallow and Deep learning
- Ability to select of ML algorithms (speed, accuracy, dataset size, interpretability)
- Feature engineering.
- Experience with all the steps of data science.
- Understanding of ML Pipelines
**Python**
- Clear understanding of good programming practices specific for Python (very important)
- Ability to write clean, understandable code
- Knowledge of Python data structures
- ML oriented python packages (Pandas, Sci-Kit learn, numpy)
- Plotting libraries
**Statistics**
- Firm understanding of statistical principles (eg statistical significance, statistical testing)
