**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
As a Validation Analyst in the GRC department, your main role is to ensure adherence to the software development lifecycle for both new and existing systems and features. This includes collaborating closely with various teams to create and manage required documentation, developing test plans, and maintaining system compliance.
During a typical month, you will be responsible for reviewing requirements, PQ tests, validation documentation, and change controls and then presenting these documents for approval with the goal to move to the next project stage/implement into production.
**Primary Accountabilities**:
- Acting as a representative for validation at project team meetings and completing assigned action items.
- Assisting in the preparation and review of system documentation, such as requirements and design specifications for software systems.
- Participating in the identification of user requirements and system design.
- Preparing and obtaining approval of system and programming documentation.
- Recommending changes in development, maintenance, and system standards.
- Coordinating system upgrade activity.
- Accurately writing and executing test scripts to produce evidence that the computer system consistently performs its intended functions accurately and reliably.
- Creating, updating, and managing sufficient data within the testing environment to accurately test software functionality.

- Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication, collaboration, and facilitation abilities across internal and external parties.

- Solid understanding of systems used at PPD or within the CRO/Pharmaceutical industry

- Good understanding of life sciences operational processes and terminology, as well as the software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze software defects, identify the cause of test failures, and explain error production
- Effective communication skills, both in conveying information and ideas clearly and in actively listening and understanding others
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with mínimal guidance, while effectively managing work schedules to meet deadlines
- Ability to perform under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment
