The Global NPI Sourcing Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the sourcing and procurement activities related to new product introductions on a global scale. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product development, and supply chain, to ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and components for new products. The Global NPI Sourcing Manager collaborates with suppliers, drives supplier qualification and selection processes, negotiates contracts, and ensures the availability of high-quality materials to support successful product launches.
NPI Sourcing Strategy: Develop and implement a integral sourcing strategy for new product introductions. Identify and qualify suppliers who can meet the quality, cost, and delivery requirements of NPI projects.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure early involvement in the product development process and secure their commitment to meet project timelines and quality standards. Monitor supplier performance, address issues, and drive continuous improvement.
Evaluate and qualify suppliers for new product introductions. Assess supplier capabilities, capacity, quality systems, and financial stability. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure compliance with technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with suppliers for new product sourcing. Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to develop contractual agreements that protect the organization's interests.
Supply Chain Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product development, and supply chain, to align sourcing activities with NPI project timelines and requirements.
