Operational Excellence Leader – Drilling & Well Construction
Location: Ciudad del Carmen, Mexico (On-site)

About the Role
We are hiring a senior Operational Excellence Leader to ensure that drilling, completion, and well construction activities are executed under the highest standards of safety, integrity, efficiency, and technical excellence. This role is responsible for defining operational standards, auditing execution, and optimizing performance across drilling campaigns and well delivery processes. You will work closely with drilling, geology, reservoir, and operations teams to ensure wells are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with best industry practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement operational standards across the full well lifecycle
- Audit drilling and completion activities to ensure technical and procedural compliance
- Monitor performance indicators such as NPT, drilling efficiency, and well delivery timelines
- Identify risks, deviations, and improvement opportunities




- Lead post-well reviews and lessons learned processes
- Ensure well integrity and well control standards are consistently applied
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across drilling, subsurface, and operations
- Oversee performance and compliance of drilling contractors and service companies
- Support optimization of drilling campaigns, efficiency, and cost control

What We’re Looking For
- 15+ years of experience in Oil & Gas
- Strong background in drilling engineering, well construction, or completions
- Experience in drilling operations (onshore and/or offshore)
- Deep understanding of well integrity and well control
- Experience managing or evaluating drilling contractors and service providers
- Proven experience in operational excellence, technical auditing, or performance improvement
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence multidisciplinary teams
