About the Role

*Trade Compliance Specialist*

Ensuring customs/trade compliance in all areas of Nidec Mexico, monitoring processes, and providing procedural advice.





Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure customs and trade compliance across all plant operations, advising on new product development.
- Perform tariff classifications and identify non-tariff regulations or special permits (NOM, COFEPRIS, SEMARNAT) prior to purchase.
- Calculate and simulate rules of origin, tariff shifts, and regional content for USMCA qualification.
- Create and maintain accurate material master data in SAP (tariff codes, country of origin, and tariff preferences).
- Administrate OEA and CTPAT certifications and perform random audits to Import/Export operations

Key Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Trade, International Business, or a related field.
- Experience:
3 to 5 years of proven experience in foreign trade operations.
- Knowledge:
Strong expertise in Customs Law, IMMEX, FTAs (especially USMCA), Tariff Classification, and Rules of Origin.

Solid underst
