About the Role

We are hiring a Plastics Engineer & Technician to join our team in Scarborough, Ontario. This is a hands-on, on-site role that combines engineering problem-solving with day-to-day technical operation of plastics processing and CNC equipment. You will work our night shift, supporting production, troubleshooting processes, and helping us maintain quality and output. We welcome both junior and mid-level candidates, and can offer work permits and housing support to the right person.

What You'll Do
- Set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot plastics processing and CNC equipment
- Optimize process parameters to meet quality, cycle-time, and yield targets
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, material, and process issues during the shift




- Perform routine maintenance and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime
- Conduct quality checks and document results; support root-cause analysis of defects
- Work with materials, tooling, and molds to support production runs
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment
- Collaborate with the day-shift team on handovers and continuous improvement

What You'll Bring
- A degree in engineering (required) — mechanical, plastics/polymer, materials, chemical, or a related discipline
- Some hands-on experience in plastics manufacturing or processing (junior and mid-level candidates both welcome)
- Working knowledge of plastics and CNC machining
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently on the night shift (typically 11:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality
