Role Description
The CAD Engineer role at NXP Semiconductors is a full-time, on-site position based in Mexico. In this role, the CAD Engineer supports design teams by developing, maintaining, and optimizing CAD tools and design flows for integrated circuit (IC) and system-on-chip (SoC) development.



Daily responsibilities may include configuring and troubleshooting EDA tools, creating and updating scripts and automation to improve design productivity, and ensuring design environments are consistent and reliable across projects. The CAD Engineer collaborates with designers, verification engineers, and IT teams to resolve tool issues, implement new methodologies, and support tape-out activities. This role also involves documenting processes, providing user training, and contributing to continuous improvement of the CAD infrastructure.

Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in electronic design automation (EDA) tools for IC/SoC design, such as CAD frameworks, schematic/layout tools, and simulation environments.
