Overall purpose of role
The trader will be responsible for market making of Fixed Income Products and for leading Mexico’s franchise to the next level. The desk offers a broad base of Mexican assets, mainly in rates and derivatives.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage trading portfolios with a budget of 7mm GBP
- Responsible for timely execution of all trades for the Mexico Rates trading desk and relevant sales areas.
- Ensure client development, exercising a close working relationship with Sales and Senior Management helping build/maintain client franchise
- Demonstrate risk management consistent with business principles
- Train and develop junior talent
- General desk support (including working with Product Control, Compliance, Legal and others)
Risk and Control Objective
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards
