Maintenance Manager

Location: Cienega de Flores, NL, Mexico
The Maintenance Manager will lead all maintenance and facilities operations within the plant, transitioning the department from a reactive to a proactive maintenance model. This role requires a strong communicator capable of partnering with cross-functional leaders, driving timely resolutions, and designing an organizational structure that separates reactive and preventive maintenance workflows with dedicated schedules.
Strategic Planning & Maintenance Program Development
- Design and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to shift departmental operations from reactive to proactive
- Develop a maintenance organizational structure with distinct teams and schedules for reactive and preventive maintenance functions
- Implement and manage CMMS to track work orders, analyze equipment history, and monitor department KPIs (MTTR, MTBF)
Team Leadership & Organizational Development
- Hire, train, schedule,
and supervise maintenance technicians and supervisors across reactive and preventive maintenance teams
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
Facilities Management
- Oversee all facilities management functions within the manufacturing plant, ensuring alignment with maintenance operations
- Manage facility infrastructure, repairs, and capital improvement projects
Budget & Cost Control
- Develop and manage the maintenance and facilities budget
- Oversee spare parts inventory and control facility repair costs
Vendor & Contractor Management
- Negotiate service contracts and manage external contractors for specialized maintenance and major repair projects
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all maintenance and facilities operations comply with applicable local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA, and others)
Cross-Functional Collaboration
