A Brief Summary of This Position:

This individual contributor position is responsible for analyzing and optimizing the processes involved in the supply chain, ensuring that goods are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time. The Logistics Specialist requires to evaluate transportation routes, carrier performance, and warehousing strategies to minimize expenses without compromising service quality.

Essential Functions:
- Schedule and coordinate transportation from Valmont and Non-Valmont locations.
- Select carriers effectively using a Route guide to support the cost savings strategy.
- Optimize Valmont´s logistics operations through reorganizing shipping schedules, consolidating loads, and maximizing vehicle usage to reduce costs.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, warehouse staff, and transportation providers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, carriers and import/export department to ensure on time border crossing.




- Maintain operational reports and TMS data accurate and updated for internal customers.
- Use data analytics to maintain and monitor KPIs such as on time pickups and deliveries, system updates completion and operational costs.
- Identify areas for improvement within the supply chain and recommend process enhancements.
- Plan and execute logistics projects, ensuring timely deliveries
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics processes and customer satisfaction.
- Support Cost reduction initiatives and implementations.

- Address and resolve logistical challenges, such as delays or discrepancies in shipments, to maintain operational efficiency.
- Ensure Customer satisfaction through on-time deliveries.
- Maintain SOPs and Workflows up to date with the operation to support standardization across the team functions.
- Crosstrain in all department´s activities.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge
