About the Role
Alibaba.com is looking for an Account Manager, Buyer Growth – Mexico Market to support the growth of high-value buyers in Mexico.
In this role, you will own a portfolio of buyers, build direct relationships with them, understand their sourcing needs, and help them grow on Alibaba.com. You will be responsible for driving buyer engagement, GMV growth, adoption of platform solutions, and long-term retention.
This is a hands-on, business-facing role that combines account management, buyer operations, customer success, and growth execution. The idóneo candidate is proactive, structured, data-driven, and comfortable engaging buyers through phone calls, emails, and messaging channels.

Responsibilities
- Own and manage a portfolio of high-value buyers in the Mexican market, driving GMV growth, platform engagement, and long-term retention.
- Proactively reach out to buyers through phone, email, and messaging channels to build relationships, understand business needs, and convert outreach into active and growing accounts.




- Conduct structured buyer discovery conversations to understand each buyer’s business profile, sourcing needs, procurement process, purchasing behavior, and pain points.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date buyer records, including business background, sourcing categories, engagement status, opportunities, risks, and follow-up actions.
- Identify buyer growth opportunities and develop tailored engagement plans based on buyer segment, business scale, sourcing behavior, and platform usage.
- Drive adoption of Alibaba.com platform benefits and services, including financing solutions, collaborative sourcing tools, quality assurance offerings, and buyer community programs.
- Match the right platform solution to each buyer’s business needs, purchasing stage, and growth potential.
