**A Snapshot of Your Day**:
The Proposal Specialist will be responsible for preparation and submission of proposals in the Transformers US business Unit and will work hand in hand with the Transformers Business Development team and Siemens Energy Power Systems Sales organization to develop proposals that support and complement their transaction strategies.
**How You’ll Make an Impact**:
- Receive orders from customers and prepare order entry information to transfer to project management and contract administration team. Participate in internal and/or external kickoff meetings as required to facilitate the smooth transfer of orders.
- Enable Siemens Energy Inc. to provide innovative power transformers to the US power grid and keep the lights on.
- Conform to the commercial policies of the Transformers business, including cost/price determination, profit requirements, understanding cash flow, understanding contractual terms and conditions, as they relate to Siemens Energy policy, as well as LoA and Compliance requirements.
**What You Bring**:
- BS/BA in related field or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years’ validated experience in offer preparation and sales support
- Understanding of purchase order contract language and associated legal implications
- Have a clear understanding of the sold product (reviews, understands, and ensures compliance with required contract documents including commercial and technical specifications, scope, schedule, and performance requirements).
- Detailed knowledge of drawing, bills of material, and related technical specification
- This is a position requiring attention to detail with a strong focus on time and task management, capable of handling many orders and tasks in parallel.
- Some domestic and international travel may be required on an infrequent basis for coordination with manufacturing facilities including occasional visits to factories.




- A valid visa to travel to/from United States is required for training and meetings.
