Role's Mission
This role owns the company’s day-to-day accounting operations — accounts payable and vendor management, travel & expense (T&E;), accounts receivable and collections, and the monthly close — under Mexican Financial Reporting Standards (NIF/MFRS). It also ensures the company meets its tax obligations with the Mexican authorities (in particular the Tax Administration Service, SAT) accurately and on time, coordinates internal and external audit processes, and proactively identifies control and compliance risks.
Key Responsibilities
A. Tax Compliance and Obligations
• Manage and file monthly tax returns with the SAT on time: VAT (IVA), income tax (ISR), electronic accounting, withholdings, and all other applicable tax obligations.




• Prepare and submit informational filings: DIOT, annual tax return, third-party transaction reports, and any other requirements under the Federal Tax Code (CFF).
• Supervise the proper calculation and recording of deferred taxes and their impact on financial
statements.
• Proactively identify fiscal compliance risks and propose corrective or preventive measures before they materialize.
• Maintain an up-to-date tax obligations calendar and ensure timely compliance.Serve as the company’s primary point of contact with the SAT in review processes, audits, formal requests, invitation letters, and on-site visits.
• Prepare and coordinate responses to tax authority requests, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to legal deadlines.
• Manage the tax mailbox (buzón tributario) and promptly follow up on any official notifications or communications from the authority.
