The Mechanical Engineer I will be responsible for developing productivity improvement ideas aimed at enhancing products and processes within the Smart Energy and Thermal Solutions business. This entry-level position requires a combination of hands-on engineering skills, innovative thinking, and teamwork to support the development and optimization of advanced metering technology solutions.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in the evaluation of existing product designs and manufacturing methods to identify opportunities for productivity improvements.
- Conduct feasibility studies for proposed modifications and new designs, focusing on enhancing efficiency and performance.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to create and modify **mechanical designs** using appropriate CAD software.
- Support the development and testing of prototypes, ensuring that all designs meet performance and quality standards.
- Work closely with engineering teams, manufacturing, and quality assurance to implement improvements and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in team meetings to share insights and contribute to brainstorming sessions aimed at enhancing productivity.
- Prepare detailed documentation of design processes, test results,
and other engineering activities to ensure compliance with company standards.**
**YOU MUST HAVE**
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Essential knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with CAD software and simulations is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas clearly and collaborate with team members.
- Advanced English skills
