We are seeking a Cost Accountant to join our team in Ensenada, Mexico. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily activities of the cost accounting department. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in general accounting, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills. This position offers an excellent opportunity to facilitate cross-functional collaboration, solve problems, and think innovatively. This position reports to the Cost Accounting Manager.

Essential Functions:
- Performs journal entries, reconciliations, and other month-end close duties
- Completes standard cost rolls
- Maintains the Cost Accounting inbox and processes cost requests
- Ensures adherence to Standard Costing Policy and Procedures
- Performs standard cost variance analysis




- Compiles and reviews purchase price variances
- Identifies and implement process improvements
- Performs ad-hoc financial analysis
- Collaborate with internal employees across a variety of departments
- Serves as a liaison with the external audit team to ensure the timely delivery of audit requests
- Manages multiple projects with a focus on meeting critical deadlines
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1-2 years of accounting experience
- SAP experience within the manufacturing industry preferred
- Ability to independently manage tasks with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Professional proficiency in English
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Experience in Microsoft Access databases preferred
- Experience working collaboratively across departments and fun
