We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative **Lead Data Scientist** to join our team, focusing on delivering impactful solutions within the supply chain domain through advanced analytics and machine learning.
This role offers the opportunity to address complex business challenges, craft cutting-edge models, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
**Responsibilities**
- Identify and evaluate business challenges within the supply chain domain
- Develop and validate machine learning and heuristic models tailored to business objectives
- Design scalable and high-performing data pipelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to pinpoint relevant datasets and ensure high data quality
- Build and refine mathematical models to address operations research challenges
- Convert complex data insights into actionable strategies for business teams
- Enhance existing models by incorporating updated methodologies and approaches
- Create informative dashboards and tools for visualizing model outcomes and key metrics
- Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members when necessary
**Requirements**:
- Proficiency in Python and its ecosystem of machine learning libraries
- 5+ years of practical experience in building and deploying machine learning models in production
- 1+ years of relevant leadership or managerial experience
- Strong command of SQL for data management and querying
- Background in mathematical modeling or operations research
- Understanding of classical machine learning approaches and optimization techniques
- Capability to independently propose and execute strategies to improve model performance
**Nice to have**
- Familiarity with Google Vertex AI and advanced generative AI technologies
- Expertise in Gurobi Optimizer for tackling operations research challenges
