**Your Job**
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in achieving both internal and customer quality objectives. This position requires implementing and maintaining quality systems, monitoring their effectiveness, and ensuring strategic quality plans are executed to meet quality targets. You will be pivotal in maintaining high standards and addressing any issues that arise to ensure product conformity.
**Our Team**
You will be part of the DataCom & Specialty Solutions (DSS) division, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in manufacturing and engineering. Our team is focused on creating value through increased yield, reduction of Cost Of Poor Quality (COPQ), scrap reduction, and Quality Notification (QN) reduction/mitigation. We value accountability, initiative, and the ability to manage the complexities inherent in the manufacturing environment.
**What You Will Do**
- Coordinate the activities of technicians and quality auditors to ensure product conformity and address customer concerns.
- Work with Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) and process engineers to validate and define special characteristics affecting process or product compliance.
- Develop and implement procedures for the Quality Management System (QMS) according to company policies.
- Participate in product release to mass production and evaluate samples and prototypes.
- Develop inspection and quality control plans for in-process and final audits.
- Address customer complaints and organize problem-solving activities.
**Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)**
- Possess an engineering degree or similar qualification.




- Proven experience in developing and implementing quality systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of ISO9001 / IATF 16949 standards.
- Knowledgeable in Statistical Process Control (SPC), control plans, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and quality systems.
- Proficient in English and SAP with strong problem-solving skills.
**What Will Put You Ahead**
- Experience with UL and CSA standards.
- Knowledge / Exprience with opto products.
- Test engineering Background.
- Ability to effectively use 8D's and Six Sigma for problem-solving.
- A high level of motivation and initiative to solve problems quickly.
- Experience participating in quality continuous improvement teams.
