We're looking for an Import Assistant to support in the operational and document management of the import processes of Steelcase and other vendors’ products, ensuring regulatory compliance, the correct integration of documentation and coordination with external agents to guarantee the timely flow of goods.
**What You Will Be Doing**:
- Review and follow up on documentation required for imports (invoices, packing lists, BL/AWB, certificates of origin, etc.).
- Support in coordination with customs agents and forwarders for the clearance and release of goods.
- Capture and update shipment information in internal systems (One-dive, Excel, databases).
- Monitor shipment status and keep internal areas informed about arrival dates and possible delays.
- Support in the preliminary tariff classification of products and in the integration of customs files.
- Follow up on payments related to pediments, maneuvers and logistics services.
- Prepare basic reports of import costs and transit times.
- Contribute to compliance with foreign trade regulations applicable in Mexico.
- Identifying and resolving issues that may arise during the import process, such as shipping delays or documentation issues.
- Provide administrative support to the import area in general tasks.

**Who You Are**:
**Minimum Qualifications**
- 2 years experience in Importation and Logistics
- Experience working with customs authorities and import regulations
- Strong understanding and management of Anexo 22
- Intermediate English
