**Overview**:
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily operations within the warehouse, ensuring efficient workflows, inventory accuracy, and adherence to safety protocols. They are responsible for coordinating the activities of warehouse staff, maintaining productivity, and supporting the overall goals of the organization through effective management and leadership.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff to ensure high performance and adherence to company policies.
- Schedule and assign tasks, monitor employee performance, and provide feedback for improvement.
- Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and productivity.
- Oversee receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping activities to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Monitor workflows and processes to minimize errors and delays.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure all shipments are properly logged.
- Coordinate and conduct regular inventory counts and cycle checks.
- Address inventory discrepancies swiftly and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Enforce safety guidelines and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Conduct regular safety training for staff and promptly address any safety concerns or incidents.
- Conduct inspections of the warehouse to ensure a clean and hazard-free working environment.
- Prepare and present daily, weekly,
and monthly performance reports to management.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, such as procurement and logistics, as well as external vendors and suppliers.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency.
- Manage warehouse resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to meet budgetary goals.
- Monitor operational costs and implement measures to reduce unnecessary expenses.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse software and inventory management systems (e.g., WMS, ERP).
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
